Kitsunes inspire me as well. They have a simple description but you can make lots of stories with them. Also I love characters that make good (or well, bad) villains in general lol.

What I like about kitsunes is that they are neither strictly good or bad. A lot of mythology paints its creatures in black and white, and it's refreshing to have a creature that can go either way.

Yes, true! I didn't make my Kitsune siblings completely bad either, actually. Just... a little. xD

I don't believe in the whole black and white thing either. All my villains, or villan-like chars, always have their "humane" side somewhere. I think that's what makes them have personality, and not appear like a machine.

I know, right? My favorite stories are the ones where you end up sympathizing with both the "hero" and the "villain" and aren't sure which one to root for. It's realistic - no person is entirely good, nor is any person entirely evil. As I like to say, "In someone else's eyes, you can be the villain." It's all a matter of perspective.
