Fantastic shot of them both - a spur of the moment thing. I have some great shots of the two of them together (as you've seen on my Skydrive). She really is his "little girl" - actually this is the first time Dave has had a pet.

Mak is my third cat. I got Harry when I was 17, and he was a lovely even tempered lad. Sadly someone on a moterbike ran him over when he 4 years old, and he died in my arms (Harry, not the guy on the bike - although it was a close call he shouldn;t have been on the pavement).
My mum and then partner Paul got me Smeagol for my birthday in 1996 - after I'd sworn I'd never have another cat after Harry. He came with the name by the way, I had no choice in it 
Mak was a spur of the moment thing. I actually thought we were getting a puppy. But we both fell in love with her. I guess I'm a little tough with her - proper mum you might say, but I have some experiance with cats. She has Dave wrapped wround her little claw. He dotes on her (as do I, but in different ways). He calls me from work to see how she is. It's really nice to see that smile on his face.
She does this very cute thing where she curls up on my chest, and then sucks her foot and purs.

Harry sounds lovely I'm sorry he was taken from you early. Smeagol is an awesome name, shame it wasnt the right time to share ur life with him.
Mak looks adorable, especially curled up on dave while they both sleep! Pets need a stern parent, and they love you as much for bein the strong one as they do the soft one!

She spent of yesterday ignoring me, because I told her off for climbing up the curtains. However, she got under the duvet last night, and curled up against the small of my back, and stayed there until I got up. She's my shadow today... following me everywhere. Which makes things a little difficult. I need access to the study, but I can't really allow her to be in there at the moment (it's not Mak proof yet). Normally she sleeps in the afternoon, but today she needs to sleep next to me - or on me. And yes, she's still doing the "suck the claw" thing.
