Dude, I've seen many Deviantartists leave, ones that have just been on for a year or less, but 3 years, man. That's awesome. You shouldn't leave, you got alot of great friends, you got your caring girlfriend, and 293 freakin' llama badges!

Any reason why you want to deactivate? Is your reason good enough for you to deactivate?
Let me tell you something, Sam. Through the time of being here for almost 3 years, there had been people who thought of deactivating. Many good and ridiculous reasons and the ones saying "I WILL BE LEAVING FOREVER BLAH BLAH UNLESS I GET SYMPATHY AND ATTENTION!!!one111" I bet there are a few people who that thought of deactivation, but never said a word to anyone⦠That would be me. Yes, I been thinking of deactivating for the past few months. The reason why I want to deactivate is dA isn't what I remembered anymore back in 2009-2010. Loads of people were active then, but now⦠A LOT of people aren't that active anymore because time changes, life comes to hit you in the face, and maybe other reasons. I am no longer going to deactivate because I'm starting fresh. New account. New username. New goals. New approach on doing things.
Sam, if you still wish to deactivate, go ahead. You will be missed by many even if you may not realize it. Good bye.

As you stated, it has changed, massively.
I don't mean to be sour about it or seeking attention etc, I just felt there isn't much point in hanging around on here anymore since I never stick around for long and never end up posting art or anything, and no one's expressed interest in seeing any new art for a long time, so I just figured that was the best option. I'm just not sure what to do anymore. I mean, I don't want to turn my back on you guys, ever.
Your plan of starting anew seems like a good option though...

I've noticed that pattern. You just come and go. I think people just haven't noticed that your here because you haven't really done anything recently besides just posting a journal and give a few comments/replies. Just post a drawing or two to see if anyone will notice (most people (in my opinion) pay attention to deviations more than anything else.). If no one says anything... well... I don't know what else to say.
I think you should just decide for yourself if you don't know what to do. Starting fresh is my only suggestion, but it's your decision on what to do.
There is one thing I want you to do: please don't deactivate if you decide to no longer be active here.
