Oh well. Aye, I got your info. Just incase you were planning on it, I will most likely not be interested in discussing any philosophical stuff for a while, finally burned out on it.
*sigh*
I have no idea. The last two times I was scheduled to go get processed had to get pushed back (both times working with recruiter #2), and recruiter #1 gets back from wherever on the 9th and I still have yet to get ahold of him and set up a new date.
So, what have you been up to lately?
π: 0 β©: 1
zankaru In reply to DocRossim [2010-04-03 06:14:47 +0000 UTC]
Indeed.
Well I was a little frustrated at first, but I dont let myself get annoyed at things for more than a few days now. Both of them warned me when I started rolling the ball that they had really busy schedules during march/april.
Im so jealous! I have not had anything to do for the past 3 months except bum around the house, cant get a job because of recruiting situation. Hope your enjoying it though.
I read his journal on it and I could understand his arguments if this was not Dreamworks we were talking about. If he wants to see a movie with 'eat everything that moves and burn the rest' dragons with a capital D, he should go see movies aimed at higher ages like 'Reign of Fire'. Now that was one epic dragon movie, have you seen it?
Lol, yeah I got the reference.
Well I finally got my permit and working on the 50 hours I need for my license. Driving turned out to be what I expected mostly. Boring but takes a lot of concentration (heavy traffic at night), and boring but slightly relaxing (no traffic on curvy roads). I do get the urge to drive fast everytime, but I dont trust myself to go above 60 with my family in the car.

Sorry for the long wait.
*WARNING*
I am currently freaking OUT OF MY
MIND on super coffee (little
brother makes it, and am currently
just barely resisting the urge to
scream at the top of my lungs and
punch the wall... you know what, I
never get to scream loudly, I never
have, that is something I have to
fix soon, there have been so many
times I wanted to scream,
definitely.... anyways, just incase
some of my sentences sound odd, you
now know.
~*~ Old Reply~*~
Well, I on the one hand I hope you
stop getting messed about soon....
Thanks, indeed, my friend, it is
most annoying.
Jealous? You don't work with Gareth
Plum......
Wow, just from those few sentences
I would most likely hate the guy.
See, it's "eat everything that
moves and burn the rest" dragons
that annoy me in films.....
Well in reign of fire the dragons
eat ash, so thats why they burn
everything, dont really care about
humans except when the humans try
to kill them. Wont go into spoilers
but they are definitely
intelligent. Really what I would
expect of a dragon, by that I mean
dragons would be arrogant and see
humans as beneath them, kind of
like we see ants, we dont care
about what an ant does during its
life unless they bite us then
usually comes the water hose/ant
poison genocide. Im not saying
thats all dragons would do, just
saying thats my most prominent
image of them.
Dragonheart was an epic movie! Saw
it as a kid and didnt like the sad
ending.
Also, saw a good documentary about
dragons recently, had Patrick
Stewart of Captain.....
Definitely going to check that out,
havent heard about it, but then
again have not been digging around
for dragon realted stuff lately,
thanks for the reference.
Well it certaintly makes sense,
although there is a big difference
between cooked and burnt.
Well I have lost the urge to speed
completely. I got up to around
ninety on the highway during heavy
traffic. Thirty still feels
annoying to me, but I dont mind
that much anymore, staying a couple
MPH under the limit is not so
terrible. I ever get on an empty,
long road though and its 100+ time.
~*~ New Stuff ~*~
Well here is the section where I
ramble about my life, will keep it
short.
Talked to recruiter and most likely
having to wait atleast 8+ months
before I am able to hit basic which
means I am job hunting during the
wait. Did an interview for a
warehouse job that pays around $15
per hour or higher depending on how
good I am. It is also a night shift
job, which is just icing on the
cake, I am preferably nocturnal.
That many months also means I will
have to crawl out of my cave and be
sociable again, which is a
bittersweet development I guess.
The loneliness was starting to let
my darker side pop up more, but
even knowing I will lose some
friends when I leave in a year is
not enough to stop me. Am not too
proud to admit I am nervous about
socialising for the first time
in... god... six years, has it been
that long? Heh, we all wish for a
time machine some days I suppose.
Planning on taking up some martial
art classes once I start getting a
check though, which will be fun.
Hahaha, anyways thats all thats
new.
~*~*~*~
So whats going on with you?

zankaru In reply to DocRossim [2010-04-24 13:02:24 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, exactly like george. Started to wind down so drank the other half of the glass, still waiting for it to kick in.
Well ants was the first thing that popped into my head, main reason. Knew about the chemical stuff with ants but did not know about the bee stuff, indeed interesting. Speaking of animals, I have heard that a type of jellyfish was discovered that was immortal, wondered if you heard of it, supposedly it can revert back to its 'child' stage (not a biologist here) and grow to 'adult' stage again multiple times. I have not looked into it to see if it is true though.
*shrug* I agree, eating ash seems crazy, but it is a movie so. They just needed a motivation for the dragons I guess.
What do you mean by slow? Like you dont do impulsive things or dont rush to get places?
Well whenever you think your not being sociable, you can always think of me as comfort. I am the master hermit, hehe.
Thanks.
Well I was going to look someone up and find out which one would be best for me. I have heard that what martial art you would be best at can depend alot on your personality and body build. I am tall with long legs, so most likely going to be doing tai kwon do, I heard that is all about kicking, but who knows. I am a complete noob, the extent of my MA knowledge comes from manga and movies. Isnt judo about holds or was it using your opponents momentum against them?
Hmmm, indeed. I dont know why, but I love that word.

Well I do not even know what 'New Scientist' is, so I will wait to see if you find anything.
I have bumblebees around my house that I like to watch fly around. Ones over here in florida are pretty big, like an inch long. Never caught one, but would say about round as a nickel. They have a nest somewhere in the woods in the back im guessing, usually only see three or four at a time. They dont bother me though, usually just come fly around me a few times when they see me and go back to messing with the orange trees. I have heard that it should be impossible for bumblebees to fly because of their size or their wings, something like that. Do we know how they do fly?
Well, they dont have to make sense to be good.
I am the same usually, but that could just be because im lazy. Driving slowly does have its advantages though, in fact last week I was going down a road that I had been down literally thousands of times, my old house I was born in was in the area, but I never noticed the oak trees on that road until recently. Very nice trees, have to be atleast 5-6ft across, and there are no powerlines which means no butchering the limbs. My dad had a good quote when I commented on them: "It is interesting what you see when you stop and look around."
Ah, I thought so. Surprisingly I am the exact opposite. If something ever happens that I cant avoid a fight, there is a 99% chance that I will have lost my temper and started seeing red. Judo sounds like you need to be level headed when using it, and the two times I almost got in a fight I could not even think I was so angry. You know any (form? style?) off the top of your head that is very aggressive?
Ind... yes, you are right about that. Perhaps it is all the years of me watching stargate SG-1 and star trek.

I am glad to see science backing up my hope of there being aliens, even if I wont get to see one in my lifetime.
Gah, forgot. Think about the size of a bottle-cap. Your more daring than I am, I never let any kind of insect have physical contact with me since I know they are too simple to be scared of me and I will get bitten. I am guessing it did not swell or anything since there was no venom? I know about that, talk about a sucky offense.
They freeze? I did not know that, but then I have not seen any ladybugs round these parts in a long, long time.
Hmm, indeed.
Ah man, that is the best feeling in the world, (not counting being in love, that makes everything.... brighter?) although it could just be I am an adrenaline addict and when you rage your getting overflowed with the stuff. You have mentioned doing stuff like that, you do not still do that, do you? Losing your temper and punching someone a couple times before regaining your control is alot better than choking yourself or headbutting walls.
Well too much to hope for I guess. I have heard that in tai chi your are slowly doing moves to break peoples arms or throw them, but alot of people dont even know thats what they are doing. I am not sure if that spelling is right or not, looks right though.
*Nods*
(Thought it was funny seeing us go from two sentence messages, to replies that I have written shorter essays than.)

Really? I used to have a yellow jacket nest in my backyard a few years ago, but my dad hit in when he was mowing the lawn and they never came back. Now that I think about it, I have never been stung by anything that I can remember. Well I will take your word for it, no reason for me to mess with one of them for curiositys sake.
Thats just weird! Completely solid? Like an ice cube?
Hmm perhaps yours is different than mine. When it happens to me it is just red-tinted tunnel vision, like when your passing out and your vision turns black at the edges, but I am still in control of my mind and body. Well thats good to hear.
So how does working on construction work? Do you have an agency or something and they call you with a job offer as they pop up? I have seen you go from working around the house to working at a site a couple times, and I am curious.
Oh yeah, not sure if you saw this yet or not:

"Hmm perhaps yours is different than mine."
*flinch* What have I done?!
Yeah, my little brother got stung by a wasp twice on his ear lobe, they cant hurt alot. It digs with its sting? Well that is odd. Does it go into trees or makes tunnels? Tunnels seem a bit insecure against spiders or ants. When you think of ants do you connect them with the military? Everytime I think of ants I always think of them as romans for some reason, no idea how that got started.
Hmm, indeed.
Ah, networking for the win. That is the same way I am getting interviews the day after I apply, my mom is pulling strings for me in her company.
SHHH! SPOILERS! I have not been reading very much lately and have not gotten to that one yet.
A wizard contest? Oh kami... err god. (I cant believe I just typed that, way too much manga apparently.) I have only seen (read) of one wizard contest which was in one of RA Salvatore's forgotten realms books. Everyone had just landed on the beach which triggered a huge swarm of slow walking zombies that surrounded them. The party draws weapons before one of the wizards throws off a spell (been years since I read it, cant even remember their names), then the other looks at him and throws one as well, escalated to the point the whole party was standing behind the wizards watching while they were trying to out-spell the other. Ended when one of the wizards started using a spell that is supposed to turn him into a berserker, but the other wizard yelled and tackled him before he finished it. *sigh* Love wizards, the more ecentric the better.
Demons? Blood? I need to go check out the rest of her profile!

Hail! Sorry it has been so long.
Just a really bad grammar error was all.
I know, I just felt like sharing one of the wizard contest I knew of since we were kinda on the subject.
Haha, from the little bit of them I have seen so far, I do not believe eccentric is the right word.
Started thinking about philosophical stuff again and will have some stuff to bounce off you in a week or two. Are you busy right now?
