oh its just taking a photo and painting over the top. Like in this one i took the photo, changed the sky and put the mech in there aswell as some random buildings. There are heaps of tutorials if you want to look up on how you do it, but this isnt the best example

nah man that would have been cool if i had done that, i painted on a base photo.. was one of my first assignments and was just getting used to photoshop so some pretty shameless custom brushing going on haha
