STUFF ABOUT THIS SPECIES:
General:
Liliads are magical beings, similar to mermaids. They can control water, fly, and are omnivorous. They have a matriarchal society, with the King and Queen ruling as one entity. While there is a governing body, they are relatively free creatures, and often won't be overly strict.
Traits
Hair Color: Light colors, blonde, white, and other light hair colors are common. Black, crimson, and other dark colors are rare, but not uncommon as they are a large population. Unnatural colors (literally any color) are due to inter-species-breeding with other species other than Mermaids.
Wings: Bat wings are common, and they match the skin tone. Avian wings are extremely rare, and are typically white feathered. Insect wings are only seen seldomly. Wings with arms is rare. No wings is a genetic disorder, and few children live a full life without them.
Tail(s): Fish (shark, fish, eels) tails are the most common. Seahorse tails are relatively uncommon, but not quite rare. Two tails is a genetic disorder that results often in early death. Jellyfish as tails is extremely rare, and instantly makes that Liliad the queen (as it's only in females), no matter what, as its seen as a gift from the gods. Similar with octopus tails, but for males only.
Extra: Two side fins is normal. A fin on the back is uncommon. Fairy wings can happen if bred with a fairy. Commonly skin tone ranges from sea to sea, i.e. lighter in lighter skinned areas, darker in darker skinned places, though deep sea Liliads are typically grayish blue. Some, typically deep-sea Liliads, have antenna, or lures. Rarely are they biolumoncent.
