Apophysis - it's free, search google for the download site (sourceforge I think). It's worth finding some tutorials to get you started (there's lots on deviantart resources).

Yes it should be fine - always worth running any file you download through a virus checker though. I've not got any viruses from apophysis though. Have fun with it
