I made a tiling following some tutorials I found, I can probably find the links somewhere if you want them, then used a foci final xform. Glad you like it!

Thank you - I think I know what you mean by hot-spots - the white spots where it's over-saturated, but I'm not sure what you mean by gradient blur - could you explain more? Also I'm aware the patterns in the loops don't quite match up and I need to try to fix them. I can be quite critical of my own stuff! If you have any tips on how to fix that stuff they would be gratefully recieved. Your feedback is gratefully received also. Thanks.

Perhaps the blur is either a bit too much symmetry or not quite enough. Just doesn't seem to have the harmony I usually seek for colors. I am far from an expert though, so to each his own. As for tips.. each flame can be different
