                      The stories ever flowing.
                     And for this I am grateful.
                     Our names for ever carved.
                      Our love forever shunned.
                        Our touch so brief.
                     And for this I am grateful.
               There are truths that will never be changed.
                There are events that we can never replace.
                       But we have a heart.
                      A heart that can forgive.

The paths you've taken, and the paths that lie before you...so many possibilities. You make your decisions, are impacted by them, and grow from their outcomes. You learn from your mistakes, bond with others, and define yourself as an individual.

Personally, I think anyone can understand that if they try. As with everyone else, I am confronted by the differences of others every day. I've chosen to accept and come to an understanding of them instead of shunning them. As a straight ally, I respect and support LGBT people and their rights. As a friend, I do what I can to help my friends and people I don't know when they're having problems. As a human being, I embrace diversity.

All of these things allow me to come to a better understanding of myself. It's pretty simple, yeah.

that was quite beautiful . im glad you feel this way. i live in the south....the deep south! and its so difficult to make people see that this block of acceptance is doing nothing but hurting themselves, and ever worse, the future generation to come.
