Description
My second flying boat , and again very inspired for the great illustrator Ian Mcque.On this image I created a 3d scene ( MAYA 2012) , opened the grey scene on photoshop and made a paint over .
You can see some of the painting progress on the wip image.

I enjoy the contrast between the beat-up utilitarian look (the rusting plates and dangling chains) against the mysterious glow-y ball sci-fi thingy that evidently keeps it in the sky.

Of late I have been thinking of making simple rough models on AC3D and then drawing over them, since I have problems with some poses.

The colors are amazing, the 3D appeal is pretty impressive, and the look of it as a whole brings this grin to my face that has yet to diminish.
