One of my fave cartoons ever and i use to watch it all the time back in 92 when i was 11 on Nickeleodeon, i had a major crush on Polly for she is one of the hottest furries i've ever seen.

Very cool drawing.
Also I'm making the Underdog fan comic called "UNDERDOG VS. THE KRUNCHER."
It's coming soon as I finish it.
That Sweet Polly you drew was so hot. Underdog is a lucky dog.
Keep on a fine work, my friend. WELL DONE!

I loved the film of this cartoon. XD "Not to worry! Underdog is furry!"

and of course polly's line, "Imagine ME. Off leash with Underdog! ooh there isn't a hose cold enough to break that up!" XD

Way to go with the details, Bis. Very nice

I faved this.

But, I should point out that the Underdog movie was the first new thing done in decades. So, I appreciate that. It had its good points, but it wasn't the original Underdog. But, neither is this drawing.

I noticed that a lot of people wanted to get mad at corporations and companies for "ruining Underdog."

Without those companies and corporations, Underdog wouldn't have been created to begin. He would barely be in circulation now, without corporations. As a matter of fact, I bought my own three-DVD boxset of the show from Wal-Mart. And Wal-Mart has been protested as being the absolute devil of all corporations.

Everyone sees Underdog differently. Arguing about it is stupid. I liked the cartoon from the sixties, I liked the movie, and I like your drawing. Thank you for making it.

Ecuse me, but I am far from being a moron. If the creator of the series itself hates the movie, you know it sucks. But then, it sucked already, since it was made by people who admitted to having not seen the original series, which shows you that Hollywood only cares about money, not about quality or keeping things timeless.

CSBernard In reply to Paisleyferret [2009-03-08 02:36:09 +0000 UTC]

"Morons" is a bit harsh.

I prefer "the middle road" and simply prefer to offer a counterpoint. That doesn't make me right. I just see it differently.

Thanks, though.

TherealRNO In reply to CSBernard [2010-12-13 01:07:18 +0000 UTC]

Except that when even the creator--Joe Harris, in this case--hates it, you know something is wrong. The creators should be proud of their work, and no doubt, with the original series, they were, but the fact that they disliked the movie proves to me that the movie left lots to be desired.

While I'm sure there's a point there... I barely even remember when I made the original post. I'm not really emotionally invested at this point and will just let you have the last word.

"But, I should point out that the Underdog movie was the first new thing done in decades."

That don't mean jack squat, for being modern and new doesn't ultimately mean that it's better.

"So, I appreciate that."

I don't. I don't like having my fave characters bastardized for an audience that doesn't even know--or care about--who the characters are, nor do I like my characters done by a corporation who outright said that they've never seen the original series that they were supposed to be paying homage to.

"It had its good points,"

Besides bringing UD back into the public's eye, I see no good points, as the movie was a total disgrace to the Underdog name. Heck, even Joe Harris--Underdog's co-creator--emensely disliked the direction Disney went with the franchise!

"But, neither is this drawing."

But it's truer to the original than the movie could ever be.

I was obsessed with Underdog when I was little, and while the movie looked interesting (I haven't seen it yet), I really wish they'd stuck to the original

And it's not just our toons. Most entertainment now is done in bad taste (ranging from the gross [most of Adult Swim, sans some anime & the top two grossing shows made from other companies in Family Guy from FOX & Comedy Central's Futurama], the annoying [most--nay all--of reality TV, which isn't too reflective of reality at all], the ruined [ex: turning beloved Mickey into a Hamas-supporting rat, alongside a crappy show for babies on Playhouse Disney], or the just plain stupid [all of the teenybopper garbage on all of the networks & shows like Sponge--I am only here to be stupid, which is the only way I can ever be funny--Bob "Loser" Pants]).

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

mouselady In reply to TherealRNO [2007-09-09 21:40:25 +0000 UTC]

I don't mind a few of the new items, but desperately long for the old ones. What breaks my heart more than anything is what they did to the Disney Channel, and even Toon Disney wasn't
left sacred. In a perfect world, we'd have a channel dedicated STRICTLY to "vintage" Disney.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TherealRNO In reply to mouselady [2007-09-10 01:25:38 +0000 UTC]

And the same applies to the CW (the former WB! & UPN stations fused together) in terms of its classic Warner Brothers toons (Looney Tunes, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs!, Freakazoid!, Hysteria!, et al) and Nickelodeon (the original Nicktoons {such as the non-Disney Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, Ahhh! Real Monsters, et al}, the original game shows {Double Dare [the retro version & the 2000 version], What Would You Do, You Can't Do That On Television, Legends of the Hidden Temple, GUTS [the vintage version with the Agro Crag & the Global version with the Mega Crag]}, the original primetime programming {Salute Your Shorts, the Adventures of Pete and Pete, the Secret World of Alex Mack, Are You Afraid of the Dark, et al}, and one one-hit wonder in Invader ZIM).
