Description After about a week this tutorial is finally done >0< I apologize that it took so long. It was incredibly difficult to find the progress pictures I took since my filing system in my computer is a little wonky. But it is done!

Anyway, I hope this helps any of my fellow Sufferer cosplayers. If you decide to use this tutorial then I'd love to see the finished product if you're okay with that.

It seems that I forgot to mention in the tutorial that in order to glue the cuffs together I just used hot glue. This doesn't sound like an entirely sturdy option, but it held up to a day at Anime Expo of running around, being tossed at someone (not by me I feel I must add, and they caught it so no harm was done) and multiple people trying it on.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I'm cosplaying the signless in a group and since we have a GHB and executioner, I figured a pair of the shackles would be a great prop to use rather than a banner or whatnot.

I was wondering tho, did you use a pattern for your signless shirt? Could you give me some pointers? It would be much appreciated.

We're gonna use this tutorial to make a prop for our cmv it's a good tutorial. Now why do you use the gesso?

I'm happy to hear that the Tutorial was helpful! As for the Gesso, it's used to seal the craft foam. You cannot paint Craft Foam as it is because its surface is porous. In order to get a metallic finish you need at least two to three layers of Gesso to act as a barrier between the Craft Foam and the paint. You don't have to use gesso in particular. It's just what I had on hand at the time. Modge Podge or a mixture of water and Elmers glue works in the same way but gives you slightly different results.

Personally I like Gesso better than the other two stated sealers because in my opinion it dries faster than the other two.

Ahhh, this is awesome! One of my cosplays this year for ACEN is going to be the Sufferer, and I'd almost lost hope at finding any decent tutorials for the cuffs!
