I've been loving your Star Wars art lately, but the twin turbofan design for this one seems a bit out of place for the Star Wars aesthetic to me. I also feel that design is over used in sci-fi as is, from StarCraft to Avatar to Halo, etc. I would also expect ion propulsion engines considering helicopter blades wouldn't do much good in space. I know I'm being one of those guys, but as a fellow sci-fi artist, I get a lot of comments picking apart the logistics of my ideas, so I suppose there's a balance between function and pure aesthetics. What do you think?

thank you ! in this case not is a ship that can go by the space, I thought in a motor of propulsion but then I thought that is very tipical, the propellers are only for stabilize the ship or I think that. the propulsion motors are in the back and advance with that, I wanted play with the aesthetic of a bird catching his prey because the AT-AT looks like animals and it is the idea I wanted give more important for me (in this case ) that the function.
thanks !

Tbf for Halo, Most Flyers in the UNSC use Turbofan/Turbojet engines , the Hornet, Hawk, Falcon and Kestrel all use these. They probably use them because they're cheap and work, That and they are never needed in Space since you have Long/Short Swords, Pelicans etc, So Yeah

Indeed, but back to my original point, turbofan engines (while cool looking) aren't really seen in the world of Star Wars.

I agree with you there, Also, I think they would fit in with certain races, Like the Wookies

I know I've been spamming you with comments on all these Star Wars pieces, but I was just wondering what 3D software you were using for your modeling. Great stuff once again!
