Description
As part of my art trade with ~Kinaheso who requested a feathered dragon. Hope you like, dear!
Sharpie marker on bristol. And, as always, there was no sketch, no pencil. I just put a pen to paper and see where it takes me. I introduce "Sitka", the result of this experiment, a tundra-dwelling dragon of sorts.

Great Job! I very rarely favorite sketches or b&w drawings because most of them don't translate well into a thumbnail. Your work hopped right out at me and bit me on the nose!

And you are right, they don't translate particularly well in a thumbnail so they get overlooked frequently. It can also be difficult as a trad artist to get a scanner or photograph to accurately convey the beauty and detail to be found in an original.

Thank you! I've not used pencils since the seventh grade and that was a long long time ago. I just sketch out in pen and then work off of what I have. details can mask lots of mistakes.

i don't know many people that draw with a pen. i do, but mostly a freehand sketch. you've taken it to the next level, i must bow down and pay homage.

God, I've missed opening up my message center and seeing an incredible dragon from you. I love her body language. She looks kind of sneaky and predatory. Almost like a lion, despite the feathers.
