Description "Where are we headed to, 'Red Hair'?" the swordsman inquired, already bothered by his rival's antics.

"Oh, don't you worry!" Shanks chimed.

"I trust you remember I dislike surprises." Not receiving an answer, he just kept following the red-haired man towards what looked like a tavern.

Upon reaching said place, the happy-go-lucky pirate walked through the saloon doors before being greeted by a feminine voice.

"Welcome back, Shanks!"

"Ah, (Y/n)! Pretty as usual~" he complimented, before recalling that he was with someone else. "Oh, wait a second." Peeking his head out, he called the ravenette, motioning for him to enter.

~

Finally ensconced in some couches in a corner far from the entrance, the two men could finally relax while waiting for a maid to pick their orders.
The rest of the customers opted to move away from them, not wanting to get into any sort of trouble.

"It's different, right? From the other bars we have visited, I mean."

"Quite peculiar indeed." Mihawk commented staring at the approaching, beautiful girl dressed as a maid.

"Well, hello again, Shanks~. And?"

"He's-"

"Dracule Mihawk." the male answered stoically. His intense eyes subtly darted to her exposed legs.

"W-Wait... as in 'Hawk Eyes', the greatest swordsman in the world?"

"That's him!" Shanks pointed at the other man. "By the way, the usual for me."

"Yes, I know~" she giggled, remembering how the pirate would always order the same sake whenever he visited.

Now came the time to ask the mysterious, golden-eyed customer, who could feel her slight fear.
"No need to be frightened of me." He noticed the maid visibly relax after his reassurance.

"Y-Yes, forgive me." (Y/n) bowed, her (h/c) locks falling forward. "Uhm... wha-"

"Red wine."

"T-Thank you." She then hastily fled to the bar counter, before disappearing who knows where.

"She went to the cellar." Shanks informed.

"I didn't require you to inform me of her whereabouts."

"But you were looking at her the entire time~"

"I was not."

As soon as the (h/c)-haired girl reappeared with a bottle of refined wine and one of sake, Mihawk immediately glanced at her.

"See? I'm right~"

The other barely rolled his eyes, annoyed by the pirate's grin and teasing.

"Sorry for the long wait, masters." She placed both bottles and a goblet on the table. She proceeded to unscrew the one with sake and placed it in front of Shanks. "Your sake, mas-"

"Ah, stop calling me master~! It's an order from your master, (Y/n)~" The second statement made the two and some others sweatdrop. The red-haired male took a sip and a relieved expression appeared on his scarred, yet very handsome face. "Always the best~!"

Meanwhile, the maid skillfully opened the expensive wine bottle and poured a little amount of the dark liquid into the glass for the Warlord to taste.

"Intense." he mumbled a comment, loud enough for (Y/n) to hear.

"This is a 'Caggio Ipsus': traditional fermentation of three weeks on the skins..." she began explaining the entire process, not noticing the powerful swordsman staring and listening to her with interest. Her words and voice showed just how much of an expert and passionate about it she was. "... It shows so many perfumes that follow through to a full yet tight and very agile pal-"

A hand in the air made her half her speech.
"No need."

"F-Forgive me. I was rambling." She bowed her head again as he stood from his seat.

A sudden, powerful wave of Conqueror's Haki swarmed the entire local, knocking everyone out, except for Shanks himself, 'Hawk-Eyes' and our maid (Y/n).

"Why did you do that?" she asked, clear shock and slight fear visible on her features.

"Oh, my bad~" the Emperor (fakely) apologized as he abandoned the couch he was occupying. "Why don't you take him..." He pointed at the dark-haired man. "... to the cellar? He likes wine. Maybe he'll buy some bottles~, right? Right?"

"Don't make me regret my decision of years ago, 'Red Hair'." Mihawk's voice remained calm, but one could hear the slightly annoyed tone if concentrating. He then turned towards the beautiful girl with (e/c) eyes. "May you?"

"Y-Yes!" And she gulped loudly, waiting for the tall man to gesture her to show the way.

~

"I-I-I don't-"

"Think about it. It would be like killing two birds with one stone: you wouldn't need to work, yet you would still do what you love the most, which is selecting and tasting wine, and I would get to savor the most refined ones."

(Y/n) was really, really confused about the sudden proposition. And it was becoming difficult to refuse too, among other things.
Despite this, she didn't want to lose her job for the money — and the several and generous tips — she received.
But she'd have probably thrown everything out of the window if it meant spending time with him. Because this man, this very man in front of her, had that mysterious aura around him that made him all the more irresistible.

"C-Can you just remind me why?" She had a cute blush on her cheeks.

Seeing her in this state made the swordsman have thoughts he'd have never dreamed of having. "The woman residing in my castle and my apprentice are not good enough to distinguish wine from a mere, cheap beverage." Mihawk paused, not sure if he was supposed to regret or not the words he was going to say. Taking a deep breath, he spoke. "And I need you to come with me."

Few words, but they meant something deep that neither of them could describe.

He slowly, carefully approached the (h/c)-colored young woman, who started stepping backward until she reached the stone wall of the cellar.

"W-What are yo-you d-doing?"

"I am not sure myself." he whispered, his face nearing hers till they were some millimeters apart.

Her heart was beating frantically in her chest, almost wishing to escape the cage that kept it in place. She could even hear its thumps in her ears as more blood rushed to her cheeks and neck.

"C-Can I keep this dress? If I come w-with you, can I?"

The Warlord didn't answer immediately. Instead, he kept looking at her orbs, at her pupils widening, at her (e/c) irises quickly moving their sight from one of his eyes to the other and then to his lips before going back up. He took it as a green light to close the small distance between them.

Meanwhile, a certain pirate who liked to party was patiently waiting for his friend while chugging his bottle of sake. He was right on the other side of the cellar's door, so he knew what was happening inside.
A knowing smirk appeared on his features when he heard the girl indirectly accept Mihawk's proposal.

~some weeks later, on Kuraigana Island~

"Here~" said the cheerful former maid while pouring the pale gold liquid in a goblet. She made it her goal to have her swordsman taste every type of wine she could get her hands on.

"I'm still skeptical about this, but I will try nonetheless, if it makes you happy."

"Yes, thank you, Mihawk." (Y/n) smiled lovingly. The lit candles adorning the gigantic living room made her seem angelic.

"Why do you get to drink?" Zoro whined while intently staring at the contents of the wine glass and then at the bottle in the girl's hands.

"I am not the one who needs to master Haki."

"No fair..." mumbled the younger swordsman, still looking at the object; his eyes soon went past it, staring at the beautiful lady's curves. And he knew he was going to get punished.

"I will put your skills to test later this evening, so quit ogling and resume training, Roronoa." The stern order was followed by feminine giggles coming from the only two women living inside the gloomy castle.
