Description
Sonic experiences an anime protagonist momentProbably the most important page so far since it sets up two points that are central to Sonic's story. First is his motive: values like liberty and freedom are central to his character, and this puts him in a unique position with respect to the princess that distinguishes him from other heroes like Tails (and lets me skip building their friendship properly, which is infinitely harder). Second, it sets up his is willingness to risk the world if it means saving someone, which will later clash with the convictions of a certain other hedgehog.

Man, I see a lot of clashes with other protagonists in the near future. Sonic isn't wrong, but he isn't completely right either, none of them are. While the others are being logical and thinking with their brains, Sonic is outright refusing to do so since a bigger part of him, the one he usually follows, knows that this is somehow completely wrong. He simply wants to have another option which doesn't involve letting an innocent suffer in containment. Afterall, it isn't really the princess' fault she was experimented on. Hmm, I wonder how your version of this progresses, honestly, '06 would have been much better if only Sonic's story was a bit different. Can't wait to see how you'll bring in Silver.
