One of the strange/ adorable creatures that populate the muddy waters around the city of Ashmoil in the novel 'The Etched City' by K. J. Bishop.It has an evil stare.

Really well done!
I like the idea of showing whatΒ΄s beneath the murky water. The colours of the water and the bird fit together really well and being rather subdued they match the creepiness of the creature itself. Only the angle of the tail feathers looks a little odd...I guess it makes it easier to see the eyes but it does not really match the perspective of the body.

This is awesome.
Very dynamic character design and beautiful colours used. Great texture on the creature's body, especially those feathers. I like it.
