お誕生日おめでとうございます明希さん！！！

I was five minutes over time, so yesterday (3rd February) was the birthday of Aki, SID's bassist He's one of ym fave J-Rockers coz he's awesomely hot and a fantastic bassist. I'm pleased with the drawing, though it's not quite right in various places. The whole thing took me three hours twenty minutes. An entire hour of that was the hair. Which, to be fair, I knew would take ages. And I spent forever on the eyes coz I had massive problems with them. Still not QUITE sure they match... One's darker than the other, even though I tried to sort that. And I've never spent fifteen or twenty minutes drawing one ear... So many intricate earrings!!!

Mya fave parts of this drawing are the hair, lips and ear. I used to REALLY suck at doing lips, but I think these went really well! And the hair was really hard but I think it turned out pretty damn great if I'm honest. Definite pride for the hair! I DID cheat a TINY bit coz his shirt does actually have some writing on it, but I just plain didn't want to draw it. And I think this drawing only kind of half looks like him. Just been comparing it on the screen to the original picture, flicking between the two and they're actually really different. But then if you don't know what Aki looks like then you won't notice that as a problem. I've gotta stop comparing them now, it's making me like the drawing less and less...

I've now (technically) drawn all the members of SID, though Shinji's isn't a proper portrait, it's just a drawing I did ages back, which isn't all that great really. But it's his turn on the 8th. Then the set shall be complete! My first complete set!!! I'm so excited!
