Description
Hello,This is my recent work. Its all done in 3D MAX 8 and Vray 1.5. I wanted to create very old Japanese temple on top of the mountain. But while working on this project i lost my original inspiraton. So i end up throwing in some displacement, some plants, textures etc... Comments and Critics are welcome, i hope you like it

May I ask how did you create such lighting? How did you place the lights and how did you create the sky?
I'll be working on an academic project in the coming semester and this is exactly the mood/lighting I pictured my animation to be. I hope you can give me some tips on lighting, it'll be very helpful. Thanks!

Great render.
This is not a critique, but a suggestion.
The render stands out as CG compared to the sky background. You could integrate the render into the photographic background a bit more.

Thanks for suggestion. This image will be revoked sometime in the future, now its just way to simple as a composition. As you probably can tell it was quickly finished up as things were getting very busy for me and the passion for this image wanted me to complete it...

Very beautiful image. Nice peaceful feel. The textures on the building are quite realistic. I also really love the cat statues. Looks like a lot of detail gone into them.
Only issue I see is with the lighting. Although quite beatifully lit, I'm not sure the sky matches with the scene. The sky seems to have a purple/red tinge to it, while the scene is a golden yellow. Also I THINK the sun is behind the plants just beyond the well, whereas the light source is actually coming from in front of the building.
Those minor issues aside, it is a fantastic peice which you should be very proud of

Thanks matte, the sky it is 360 HDRI which matches the sun almost perfectly. It does make a feeling that it is coming from the back, but its really not. Thanks again
