This whole image looks great!
The choice of rugged pony-tail hairstyle and a scruffy goatee makes this character look more like a horse. Than just being an Anthropomorphized equine furry.
Also, Love the detials of muscle and cartilage ranging up and down his face and neck. Nice touch!
