What's awkward? Your creation, or my comment?
I think it's not awkward. I think it's from the heart. Nothing's wrong with that.

It's a bit rough, but I know a few people who live in similar scenarios, probably I shouldn't use the word "Live" more like "living dead".

*Sniff* Beautiful, the effects you added to the words made it even more easy to feel... how to put it? ...to feel the impact of each word crashing into a sentence, into a true hearted story.
I, for my part, found it like a sad truth.
You're quite a story teller.

I don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said. Very powerful writing on a subject that, unfortunately all too often, gets swept under the carpet.

Everyone suffers and it is our doom to unwittingly make others suffer. These are our karmic roles in life. Without that we could never experience happiness. (imho)

I think of...mother Teresa. A woman was lying dying in the streets, people passing her by, no one caring. Mother Teresa took her in until she died in her chapel that night. There was a man picked off the street that said, "I have lived life like an animal, but I die like an angel, warm and loved." There was a woman with a starving family, whom mother Teresa had brought rice to. The mother divided up the rice and gave it to their neighbors saying they were hungry too. We are materialistic, but to be loved, to love in return, and to share that love, is all that is ever really needed. We buy things to feel whole, because we are lonely, but those who suffer in silence, don't know this, and so instead, spread love.

I know this piece is about abuse after reading the comments, but I can read it also about depression where people suffer in silence, or people certified as mentally ill, and condemned by society resulting in isolation and no self worth.
Who really cares or understands?
Good piece. Profound

I'm a sociology major and so to me this draws a lot of parallels to what I've been learning.
As a matter of fact did you know that Labor is considered a commodity. How is it possible to have rights in a society that considers the work someone does more valuable then there actually human worth.
Well that's just what I think.
