Another tricky one ~.~ At first I thought "my comic doesn't need an oracle...!" so my mind went to more fantastical than steampunk ideas. But then I remembered waaay back in late 2009 I kinda wanted some kind of traveling bard character in SSnPP (he who would eventually compose the titular ballad) ...in a way, he kind of fits the role of oracle.
You can tell how much I struggle with a particular prompt based on how many doodles there are floating in the bg. I'm also one whole week behind schedule (whoo)

Cyborg arms? ^^
He has a 'theme' of sorts with that weird hat and the little parts poking off the shoulders of his cape. (also at the cuffs of his pants)

Yeah, the Oracle thing is kinda tricky. The character shouts more balladeer or travelling minstrel. Not much visual clues that says magic or priestly prophet that ties it to a standard Oracle character.

That's somewhat intentional (since no one is supposed to be aware there are even oracles in this world) XD;
But yeah, this one is definitely going through a few redesigns afterwards.

Yeah, it's kinda hard making something new but still notable without reverting to the standard cliche of what a wizard or an oracle should look like. It's a fine line to balance as an artist.
