A small shoot I did of a Jade costumer at Matsuricon 2011.I'm not the costumer, I am the photographer.

By the way - I don't think the comment about her skin colour was meant to be offensive. I'm always comparing the realism of the cosplay to the original character, it doesn't mean that it is not likeable. I mean, lets be honest - some of these characters are impossible to cosplay due to their impossible breasts (Ivy!). I think it is fair to point out some deviations from the original if done in an "I'm merely observing a difference" manner. My two cents worth.
Love the cosplay, there is something incredibly sexy about a girl who goes out to fight with just a shoelace standing between her and a humiliating exposure! I'm sure there is a money spinning gameshow idea there somewhere.

It's more so the fact that people outside of the hobby have that premonition of it has to be 100% accurate or it's crap. It's like telling black cosplayers they shouldn't be cosplaying a certain character because of their skin tone...who gives a shit ya know? If people are having fun doing what they do, live and let live.
Also...KI and UMK3 are probably the best 2 fighting games ever made IMO. And yeah, Orchid over Jade all day every day...30 HIT COMBO'S ALL DAY EVERY DAY.

I think it's really rude of you to comment on her skin color. :/ Especially when that has nothing to do with the photograph.
You should be more careful with voicing your thoughts out loud. Saying things like that is bound to draw in conflict. Would you have walked up to this girl at a convention and told her "you look great except you're too white"? lol

She is not an extra in this conflict whatsoever, she is a photographer who does great work, so her opinion counts just as much as yours...you can't just disregard people's statements because they're "extras".

It's not being rude, it's being real...the people I photograph and hang out with usually don't care about appeasing other people. We cosplay for fun and the love of the source material.
