uh, mantis, you're quite wrong. Ares "was" the god of war, till Kratos killed him. and there was no insanity that Kratos had, he was getting vengeance for Ares misleading him into killing his family. and fighting for his life? you obviously never saw the game, or played it, since from the very beggining of the game, Kratos is trying to kill himself.

try to be more knowledgable of what you are talking about in the future so you don't appear so foolish.
