Description
The sad tale of Herobrine

Herobrine, exploring the caves and valleys of minecraftia gathering his treasures and minerals.
He came across a whole in the bedrock, he turned to walk away but fate had other ideas.
Herobrine fell, he fell and fell and fell.
Herobrine fell through the eternal loneliness and emptiness of the void.
As he fell he tried to keep view of the world above, but it quickly left his field of sight.

For years poor Herobrine fell, his tools and possessions had long since lost all entertainment value.
Herobrine's mind was in ruins, barely even insane at this point, driven beyond to a state of demented silence.
Never moving, never sleeping, never blinking. He fell.

Then after many years he finally landed, or rather crash to the ground with such force it shattered every bone in his body.
He stood up after 1 minute, as good as he had been before he hit the ground.
He tried to look around only to find his eyes unable to penetrate the darkness.
He reached up to see what had him blind only to realize he had his eye's closed.
In some horribly ruined shred of his mind he recalled how to move them.

The world around him was dark made of black stone and the impenetrable substance.
Lava flowed like water, but otherwise all was dark.
He heard a noise behind him and turned to see a tall slender figure.
The figure approached mouth agape arms extended clearly hostile.

Herobrine grabbed the enderman just as it reached him, he grabbed the top of it and in one swift motion rend the creature in two.
Herobrine didn't react, in any way.
More then a dozen of the creatures appeared around him, three more attempted to destroy him.

He brutally slaughtered them without blinking or a second thought.
The other endermen kept their distance and he payed no attention to them.

Herobrine sat their rearranging his few possessions all day and night, not that anyone other then the endermen could tell the time of day in their realm.

Eventually some endermen began to carefully approach Herobrine and his bizarre shrine of rocks, broken tools, and diamonds.

When they didn't bother him or his things they where unharmed although he did nearly kill one who poked one of his diamonds.

After many, many weeks of starring at his possessions Herobrine finally began to move.
With inhuman speed and strength he ripped bedrock out of the walls of the small room he inhabited, the endermen stood near the entrance and watched in terror as he displace the immovable blocks. Herobrine built a small frame and situated his diamonds around it, and in a burst of ethereal flame a small ball of light was formed, and through it he could see the world above.

Herobrine watched for days as people move in the world above, in HIS world.

They burnt his forests, drained his oceans, killed his animals, and never even stopped to think about it.

Herobrine was angry. Herobrine was furious. Herobrine ripped apart what remained of his room and everything he could reach from his door way, he fell to his knees with his mouth open in a silent roar of utter Rage.

For the next few days Herobrine sat in his room curled up in a small ball crying.

A few of the endermen attempted to get close but one look from Herobrine made them run away in terror.

When Herobrine finally moved again he returned to studying the world above and discovered the portals the OTHERS above had created.

In a moment of mental clarity better then any he'd had since his fall into the void, something occurred to Herobrine.

"Why can't I?"

All at once his mind was working at full tilt. His ruined Mind briefly whole, he had a goal for the first time in many years.

He would build a portal to the above.

At first he merely copied the obsidian design of the OTHERS on the surface, but they refused to light.

Then he tried bedrock in place of obsidian, he tried every fuel he could think of but to no avail.

As the days and weeks moved by Herobrine started to see that the endermen where no longer hostile to him, infact they bowed to him as he passed, left pearls at his door way, and attempted to mimic him however they could.

While he had no idea how they made pearls, he did find it produced a feeling deep inside of his mind and body.

It was a lust for power.

After many more weeks Herobrine grew angry again, and when one of his endermen dropped a pearl on his obsidian workbench he grabbed it and with all the strength he could muster threw it into the gate of bedrock.

With an explosion that knocked both him and the endermen back hundreds of feet, phantom flame of every color burst into being in the gateway.

Herobrine approached and as the image in the gate stabilized he saw something he had not seen in hundreds of years, the surface.

With his endermen in toe he departed for the surface to make the defilers of his world pay, especially their bold and powerful leader.
