Commission for canisaureus on FA of his magic (or in this case, fire) wielding character Auric.He was very difficult to get done, and it wasn't even because of the wings. I started the color over on this 5 time. X.X In the end, I'm happy with how he came out.

As for his eyes, I think the problem is that his right eye is slightly more slanted than the other... hardly helpful now, but that's what's off about it.

The amount of detail set into this...
First off the anatomy looks perfect!
The hand and the paw look great as well as the tail and the leg!
The fur details and shading and lighting is amazing!
And wow those feathers!

Very cool. I'm really liking the pose and detail in the wings. The fireball as well is nicely done and I especially like the variety of colors used to render it. I will admit, though, that one of the eyes seems a little off to me; perhaps his left eye.
With that said it's still an enjoyable piece. Another thing I seem to enjoy about your work is the tribal or Native American style of their dress and overall design, with a touch of fantasy. It just fits.

You're right about that eye! They gave me a lot of trouble, (actually just about everything besides the wings gave me trouble, lol) so I tried to fix them as best I could without having to start over for the 6th time. XD

Starting over from scratch certainly sucks, especially when you have to do it multiple times. I've seen a few artists use Photoshop to touch up traditional work, such as using the liquify tool to adjust the size or shape of the eyes, nose or mouth.
I'm honestly surprised that those wings didn't give you trouble.

I have thought about doing that before, but because I send out the originals I figured it would be odd for them to see one thing online, then get something different in the mail.

Holy wow, this really came out incredibly!
That pose/anatomy looks so awesome, and I'm especially in love with the way you drew the face, paws, and hands!
Now my favorite part though has to be those wings! I mean holy wow, just look at how beautifully detailed they are! The feathers all look so beautiful, and soft. I also have to say your coloring, and shading never ceases to amaze me with how gorgeous it is!
