How to make better rain effects? But those look so awesome, the rain droplets. @_@
Did you use that noise blur thing to make them? That's how I had tried to do them, once. It didn't look so rainy, more like scratchy.
But, I would suggest this, place some tiny splashed droplets of water bouncing off of him. (Is that Nathan? Hmm) That would heighten that kinda... drenched in the dark water from above, washing away worries and pain... feeling that I get when looking at the picture.
This has some INCREDIBLE coloring! It feels so nostalgic, some how, I have a weird emotion arise when looking at this... I love when that happens. It's gotta be one of your works that I would consider to be one of my favorites.

Wow.. this is absolutly gorgeous! I love the water effects, and the expression, and well, it's perfect! The colour is beuaitful, I wish I knew how to do good rain effects, I think the photoshop ones look really fake too (even though you hid that really well with your great shading), but I've never actually had the time to sit down and play with my own rain. If you find out a good strategy keep me posted, eh?
