So! Normally I don't like posting a new drawing so soon, but I had to draw this. Not only have I been waiting too long to draw my other D&D character, but he just got that massive axe he's holding and I had to draw it. (The speedpaint for this drawing will also be going up probably Saturday or Sunday, so keep that in mind. The link to my channel is on my profile page.)

But anyways, this is Zernen: the other character I play in our Curse of Strahd campaign, who is part of a different party than Malachi. He is a tiefling warlock who, after a storm devastated his village, was adopted by the drow Riklaugath Dabban, a cult leader who probably destroyed Zernen's home town and gave him amnesia, but that's not important right now. (And for those who don't know, Riklaugath is also the one who serves as my fallen aasimar Malachi's mentor. As such Zernen is a lot like a brother to Malachi.)

Zernen is also a very devoted cultist, whose chosen god of worship is Bhaal, God of Murder. And as per his faith Zernen greatly enjoys killing things. That is why, after stealing the insane amount of stolen gold from our sleeping rogue that refused to split it, Zernen bought himself the Executioner's Axe when some of the party members went out for magic items. And this weapon, when a critical hit lands with it, will instantly decapitate someone. It's beautiful, and I bet Zernen's eyes sparkled when he saw it in the shop.

It's especially wonderful since there's another member of that party who aims to decapitate things whenever he can, and I can tell Zernen is just going to smile smugly whenever using his new axe, just to spite him.

*Also, quick note, the symbol behind Zernen and on his robes is the scribble I came up with to serve as the symbol for the Heralds of the Damned, the cult group he's a part of.
