Finished sketch, this took a lot of practice. I'm happy with the result, finally got the idea across, at least in a decent manner.Centaurs are great soldiers; fast, reliable, and able to shoot. They make the best Calvary since they are more likely to listen to commands more than horses who easily get spooked in combat. They are their own country and army, a proud people that seldom let corruption take its place.
They can also carry a lot of weight, including cannons. Sometimes people, but only if they are wounded in combat.
Thats all for today, I believe. No uploads for some time because WORK (sigh)

I don't think this kind of rifle could be used by cavalry in movement, so he should rate as mounted infantry ?

No, they don't shoot when in motion. They could be both; serve as mounted infantry when shooting in formation and Calvary once the enemy retreats. Best of both worlds...not for the enemy.
EDIT: I should also mention they'd have sabers. Or stab using the end of the bayonet, absolutely brutal.
