PrimeΒ΄s faceplate here totally gave me a flash back to Tetsujin 28.... arr..ehmm... on the other hand, is amazing the way you reproduced the highlights, exactly the way I remember them on those toys

This is great ! Your version of OP should have been the Universe/Classics OP. I also think Gobots are generally underrated.

Will Simpsons ? Who is it ?
As for the toy, back in those days, it was way more easy to draw a streamlined robot that became a truck than to create a toy that actually transform for real into a truck.
That's why the Master-Piece Optimus-prime is awesome. Cause it got the cartoon streamlined style while still transforming (but it got three time the size of the original, was made 20 years later and cost way more).
Beside, I really don't care about the comics or the cartoon from Transformers. It doesn't really exist for me. DIACLONE FOREVER!!!!!

As for the transformers comics, I changed my mind since "Infiltration" from IDW. Good artworks and the story line is way more intricate and beleivable than the original one than was just good for a 20 seconds commercial.

not bad though i always thought the toy was a tad unwieldigy and sinister compared to the more streamlined marvel comic version
but if you like the toy version you might like will simpsons art
