I always had a problem with drawing my favorite characters. Most of the time I overdo it and they turned out really ugly. But i think its time to break the curse. This is Kanda from the anime D.Gray-Man. Really a great character I always had a thing for those dark type of aniime characters. Long hair, evil eyes and katana. What else a girl needs?
Oh, yeah, did I mentioned that he fights demons? Kanda's power is the sword "Mugen", and he really does amazing things with it. To bad the anime stoped before some of his greatest battles.
He is angry like all the time, and there is something really funny about that.
I love this character, and i wish that the anime will continue
I don't like some things about that drawing, like the skin and the light (I admit i gat a little bit lazy on it
) The face could have been better, but still i'm happy enough with the result.---------------------

For a reference i used screenshsot from the anime, so i can't say it is actually my art. I just loved the moment and i painted it. It was an epic battle

its really awesome!!! the hair and the body and everything! I just think you should work on the face a little more (side/front view and proportions) because it looks a little off

yeah, complately agree with you. That''s why i started to draw some portreits... But they still kind of suck. With time i''ll learn.
And as for the proportions, i totally hate one of the hands. :/
