Description Pterosaurs were flying reptiles that rule the sky during the Mesozoic.Although the kpg extinction ended their reign on earth, their legacy lives on in Avilutrica. From arboreal omnivores to giant killers that rival the dragons for dominance of the sky.
Pteradonits (upper left),rule the seas, occupying a niche similar to pelicans feeding on fish but also small animals like the ramphorichys and sea gulls that live along side them.
Tappejarids (lower left), arboreal omnivores feeding on fruits, nuts and small animal are the most diverse pterosaur in Avilutrica. They are intelligent and are often shown as benevolent guides in Avilutrican stories.
Ramphorichys (upper right),they fill a niche similar to sea gulls feeding on fish and garbage.Although very diverse throughout history.New arrivals like sea gulls and puffins are causing their diversity to shrink.
Azarchids (lower right),known as the great rulers of the skies in many culture. They are revere by multiple cultures and even dragon riders as the death in the air.Entire villages have even set up feeding stations to avoid being preyed on by these great kings.Even dragon riders aren't safe because despite being able to breath fire.Azarchids are often times bigger, faster and are much better suited for closed combat that their lizard mounts. They often killed dragonriders and eating one or both grabbing a piece to bring back to their nest leaving the rest for scavengers.
