Not too complicated, yet still looking great.
You managed to keep her "cartoony" look while adding your personal style to it.

Eh, while ago I agreed to do some art trades with a few people and I can't draw their MLP OCs for the lack of the inspiration. I'm fully Undertale inspired now, unfortunately for those people

I'd say it would still look good, even without the sparkling stuff.

All I can do is recommend listening to some thematic music and looking at the art of others. That's where I usually get my inspiration.
