Description Around two thousand years before the ascension of Hzaar, the Empress Primordial climbed down from the sacred Mithanean mountains together with a mighty host. Unopposed, she and her people (known today as the "Neo-Xivanians") conquered most of what is now the triprovincial domain of Xivan, Xevan and Xuvan (their names all reflect that of the Empress Primordial - Vanan). In these areas, they built a multitude of tiny fiefdoms, which at the time were little more than villages guarded by a warrior elite of cavalry, but later would grow to become the backbone of a mighty force in Cenumru.

The Xivanian philosophy of governance built on extreme obedience to the central power of the dynasty and a total devotion to the cause of either knowledge, craftsmanship or battle: the perfect formula for a strong and adventurous empire. The scientific potency and military leverage of the Xivanians were unchallenged throughout most of the history of their empire, growing slowly and eventually culminating during what became known as the Golden Age of Xevan. Within the span of three hundred years, beginning with the ascension of the Warrior Emperor (Senang) and ending with the death of Wodasu the Wise following the complete conquest of Parshart in Pruelland, the Xivaneans lay under the drumbeat of their marching forces virtually all of middle and lower Cenumru.

The warrior depicted is a soldier of the early Uogen dynasty (into which Senang later was adopted). The ancient Xivanians originally favoured short swords for stabbing and sometimes cutting, but after a series of wars against the Argell would later shift their armament towards longer, slightly curved blades. The traditional Ashumi headgear is not shown.
