Description
The Battle of the Noven Sea was the decisive naval engagement of the Civil War. The Revolutionary Navy, stationed in Noven, attempted a breakthrough against the blockade imposed upon them by the loyalist Imperial Navy under the command of Admiral Ster Barinne. Outnumbered against the combined forces of Pruelland, Pricyria and ServaΓnne, the revolutionaries were utterly crushed as their ships were surrounded and sunk by the larger fleet of their adversaries.~Edit: some minor things slipped through image control, I have adjusted those.

Terrible impressive picture, but your background-story sounds even more impressive. Are you working on a novel or a rpg-campaignsetting?

I want to write a story eventually, but I also don't want to mess up, so I'll have to do it after I acquire some experience with writing in another fantasy universe.

Thanks, and, well, the thing is: if I had added more smoke, the detail and clarity of the image would have suffered. I considered adding thick clouds of gunpowder smoke, but they would have obscured the sails and cannons of the parttaking ships. Since it's a fantasy universe, I'll just say that some scientists from some academy somewhere invented gunpowder with reduced smoke.
