Relations: Son to Jahli and Machozi, stepbrother to Tojo , Katika and Koko; mate to Kula, father to Kiburi.

Chumvi is the second son to Jahli. He never knew his father though, nor he ever knew that Tojo, his friend, was also his half-brother. His mother, Machozi, were once a member of Jahli's pride. When it came out that she weren't the only mate of Jahli, and moreover, not the only one who bears his child, she decided to leave her pride. She gave birth to Chumvi while not belonging to any pride. There she got spotted by the Queen of the Northern Valley, who was nearby at that time. The Queen was very merciful and invited Machozi with her son the her small pride, which needed new members. Machozi never spoke to Chumvi about his father.
