Its a chicken vs egg sort of thing. The only reason Dwight asked to be traded was because Otis Smith gambled our future away. He took a team that went to the finals and, for no reason other than we lost, BLEW IT UP COMPLETELY. He got rid of some of our most important (not necessarily most marquee) pieces and brought in has-beens who, coincidentally, happened to be some of his closest friends. Gilbert Arenas?! Vince Carter?! WTF?! It all started when we traded Courtney Lee after he blew the infamous lay-up in the Finals. Its been downhill ever since.
At the risk of sounding delusional (wishful thinking), most here know that Dwight does, indeed, love Orlando. Its always been his first option. But with an inept front office, hes seen the writing on the wall. I dont blame the guy one bit for cutting to the chase and letting them know to either do something right or cut me loose. Currently, we're in a slightly better situation than we were even a few weeks ago. Our biggest problem was that we didnt have anyone to trade for big names. Now, with Reddick playing better than ever and Ryan Anderson putting up All Star numbers, we've got a little more latitude. The big news currently is that Dwight has been HEAVILY trying to recruit Deron Williams to play here. Sources close to him say that its about 80% that he stays in Orlando and 100% if we can pull off a miracle and land D Will....be it through trade or at the end of the season when he opts out. Scary stuff. The MAGIC are "all in" at this point. We'll see what happens.
And yeah, it was heartbreaking to see B-Roy retire. Hes a good kid with nothing but talent. Its just awful to see a career end like that. I hope Crawford works out for you guys. Hes been inconsistent in the last couple of years but maybe he's found his game again. Good luck!

This is fantastic! All that detail in his head root-tentacles. And there is a wonderful balance of shadow and light so that nothing gets jumbled up and lost. Oh, and Happy Birthday!
