You know, it feels like you've manipulated this piece in terms of the background, because it feels all flaky and stuff, but... I think that adds to the atmosphere and the piece overall.

I really like the way the dark and light contrast, further accentuated through the lighting and the monotone.

It's a small shame you couldn't have gone closer to the snake, but I do like how the branches add more depth to this piece almost... I can't help thinking that there's a hand ... or hand shape of the branches in the bottom right.

A vignette wouldn't hurt, perhaps... but all in all, it's quite a good shot.

Feels classic. o.O
