Sooooo I've just read the entire comic. *SoniaCarreras reccommended it to me, and since I really trust in her opinion, I looked at it, and now I'm in love. Really.
Your Ewan is pretty original character, especially because the player behind is a guy, so it gives you a bunch of points : D not only because of the romancing-Zevran-thing (which is also nice), but because you made Ewan a very lovable character with a lot of depth. I like the way he interacts with other characters (especially with Anders. You did a glorious job there, Abadir, I do enjoy well-written friendships, and this one is very well built C: ) and the way he shows his emotions. In some aspects Ewan reminds me to *ximena07 's Edric, they're both emotional and manly and passionate.
Also, I love how Ewan deals with Jowan and with what happened at the Tower, and their reunion is very coherent and God, you have great skills to make conversations. The way Ewan interacts with other characters is very believable, you really feel they are friends, they know each other.
I want to tell you a bunch of things but I'm afraid I suck at English, so just be sure you have a new fan - you and Ewan! ^^ Keep up the good work and keep surprising us : )
And now, Ewan, please kick Jowan's ass. He's begging for it xDDD

Thank you for your comment, feedback is really appreciated by my side.
I'm glad you like the comic so far (and this comment was written while I was uploading another page... ).
I invested all my efforts in the dialogue and in the emotional development of the characters (keeping in mind that my first artistic love was theatre ) and I'm also talking from a linguistic point of view, seen as English isn't my mothertongue nor have I ever studied it in my life (I find myself thanking my friend Dina every day for her linguistic and moral support ). So knowing that I hit the mark gives me an immense pleasure.
I'm glad and I fear the comparison you make with Edric. When I first drawn Ewan, I uploaded the first page with him, look at it and then I went "OMG, I just started a comic with the gay-mage brother of Edric Cousland !". If you noticed, from page 3 on, his hair color drastically darkened and his hair grew longer and messyer (lucky me he had the helmet on)... I always feared sometimes someone would have put out some similarities between the two, but at least is a positive similarity and not based on the look.
And I don't understand why me being a guy gives me points... Maybe because some testosterone was needed in the "Dragon Age Fan Comics" scene? Hey, I'm not the only one!
As for Jowan, the feelings I had towards him (which are shared by many mage-players, I think) where the main reason I wanted him into the story (which isn't started already... YES, the main plot is yet to come, but I needed context to put all characters I needed together, we're still playing the origin... ).
I'll do my best to keep up your expectations.

Please, do not fear the comparison with Edric : ) the similarities I talk about are not based on his appearence nor in his personality, but in the way both are built, with depth. If you ask me for a similarity it would be that they're not afraid of showing their emotional side and even so they do it in a different way. I hope you get my point xD
Haha, well, being a guy gives you points because (and I'm sure you already know) there's not so much guys with male Wardens into a M/M romance with Zevran, and also there aren't many male wardens played by males who actually show feelings. More intimate feelings, and I don't talk about love - I talk about, in example, the relationship between Ewan and Anders : ) (and I'm not even an Anders fangirl xD). It's my opinion, of course, but even my brother reacts a bit weird when Zevran tries to flirt with his character - but you know how teenagers can be about this xD -, so it's refreshing to see this change. And I also love how you treat Zevran with great respect and take him seriously. That's a thing I definitely love. And I'm more in team Alistair
I'll be here expecting more, and I won't be disappointed ;D

I understand in which sense you were comparing the two wardens, and I'm just glad I could make a character with a recognizeable personality and a proper identity. I had many doubts in the beginning I was tempted to drastically change his appeareance, but the I said: "what the hell!" and tried my best to make him Ewan and not "Ewan-the-Edric-clone".
About the Zevran romance I didn't have many choices, you know: a mage of mine could never romance a lay sister (because of Lily, perhaps? Naah, he just wouldn't romance to someone so "remember-the-circle-ish") even if she was a bard, I never liked the Morrigan romance because of the outcome (though I did romance her with some of my wardens)(and BTW: ", Alistair is strictily heterosexual so remains Zevran, which is also the perfect mate for him, I think, as they complement each other. Once made the coiche I had of course treat the matter seriously: Zevran is the start of the story, the reason why Ewan leaves the Keep in the first place, the spark that makes him want to find Jowan before start a new life (to all the thing this will lead ) and, obviously, the final goal to which Ewan must focus. He is the "prize" of Ewan's mission which is - after all - my story, so he had to be important. Also, I like "unconventional" love stories and I wanted to try something about that treating it seriously, whithout resort to clichés or making a parody of a love "because" is same-sex (and also without actually showing sexual encounters or other hot moments, as the main story is not about that... and not because I can't draw them... ok, ok, I CAN'T draw them, but that's not my point! ). And I agree, there are not many male authors that would do that, but, hey! I'm just one, not "many"!
Actually, now that I think of it, the only male DA author with an active Dragon Age comic I know (meaning: I know he's male because that's written under "sex" in his profile) is ~TheOneKnight who just started his. We are an endangered species, treat us kindly...
