I didn't know about Rutka till now. Have to find the book. I have a book called number the stars. That is another book on the matter of a family escapingΒ during the rise of it all. Two young girls befriend each other while this friends family helps them escape to Denmark. Beautiful stories out there so as to not forget.

It is heartbreaking but very interesting. I sometimes don't know how people can be so cruel.

I love reading about young Holocaust victims like Rutka, I've even been to Auschwitz.

No way I've always wanted to go there. I want to go to Bergen Belsen more because that is were Anne Frank died and she's my idol. But also because at the end of the war my great-granddad was one of the soldiers that liberated the camp.

I have read about Ruth Laskier and I think that she didn't deserve to live such a short life.
I really like this photo!
