Description Here is a new 2 layer stencil. Probably 1 more layer to go for color in the rose and some white highlights. Measures about 22x36 inches.

well the big questionmark is still HOW to draw it i love this "simplified line arts" whatever is the right name for it, but just donΒ΄t quite understand how to draw them :/ i guess itΒ΄s just a matter of trial and error and practice?

Yeah when I first started these were a lot simpler. They have gotten a lot more detailed as of late. Try drawing right over a magazine photo. Try sharpies to get that defining line. If you like it just redraw the lines and paint it.

Kinda went through a period where I just had no inspiration... so I havent really been on DA, but then all of the sudden the other night it hit and not I have so many ideas I dont know what to do with them all! I basically haven't slept since its come back. Weird how we do that as artists.

A romantic gesture. Very elegant, sharp & contrasting. Not over worked, a nice piece. I like how the colour's meet & overlapped one another. Although, Something is drawing my eye to the block shading in her hair. Other than that, a good stencil.

Thanks, and yeah I guess those blocks are up to opinion. When I paint the final version, it will have drips over those blocks, so it usually works out in the end

Kinda, I draw it onto large sheets, then start color shading with whatever is laying around. Usually my kids crayons. Then I cut it out. Here is a link showing in between layers process.
