At first she reminded my of Nicole Kidman's character from The Hours - her look and expression in the film are very similar to those of this portrait. However, taking a closer look at this portrait shows that it's clearly its own. I must congratulate you on capturing her expression in this way - there's room for many different perceptions of what she's thinking and feeling. Is she sad, or withdrawn? A bit lofty perhaps?

I'm sorry if my wording is gibberish, the broken aircon has cooked my brain. Still, a very beautiful portrait this one, very well executed

Thank you Elliott for this kind and sensitive comment. I didn't see "Hours", I probably ought to, now I'm curious about this movie... "Sad", she is probably, "withdrawn" for sure, "lofty" is how we can look when we withdraw far from others, so yes, lofty too. I'm very happy you understood (felt) so well this portrait.
