At last the actual Red Sonya (with a Y) by R.E. Howard. With a wit and a togue to match those of the Otaman Ivan Sirko.

Thanks. It always depends on the artist's interpretation. Barry Smith's Sonja was a very interesting version. I wanted mine to feel more real and believable.

Not a bad alt version, she might appear this way in a new story these days.

Odd how no one really knows of the original Red Sonya anymore, its all that marvel copy for some reason.
Great job though, would love to see it in color

Not Red Sonya, Dark Agnes also. Thomas took a lot of those stories for his early sonja stories. I guess you have to be a fan of Howard's writing and not simply Marvel's interpretations. Thanks for noticing her though. She tends to be overlooked in comparison to my other work.

Love Marvel, but recreating Conan was not the greatest idea they had

Not to mention a depiction of the real deal from 1934 - excellent work! For some reason she reminds me of Cynthia Rothrock...

Thanks! I'm surprised she hasn't received her time in the sun.
