Top left - When malachite is split up little cluster got to meet jasper, and lapis. Jasper meet lapis when he escorted her to blue diamond one day when the sky temple was attacked, and crashed into the earth. Lapis was able to fly away with Jasper down to surface of the planet they were invading. Caught in the war lapis's gem was cracked. Jasper desperate to save her went to rose quartz, and had her healed. Rose able to see the faint romance on the verge of blooming took the two gems in. Giving them a home safe to love, and be loved.

Top Middle - When rose quartz tried to teach cluster about homeworld she pulled out an old gem relic she found at the sky fortress. Taking out a gem powered mirror she gave it to cluster in order to teach him about his culture, but after repeat uses cluster noticed a small blue gem that kept appearing in the background of all the scenes he played. Asking who the gem was the mirror just cast a reflection of the mirror back to him. He put two and two together, and knew a gem was trapped in their. Breaking the mirror Cluster let her free reforming the prisoner Sapphire. The crystal gems tried to put her back in the mirror, but she escaped however their troubles were not over. The next day the oceans were frozen over, a ragging blizzard was pummeling beach city, and a giant ice scrapper was seen off in the distance. Heading across the frozen waters cluster, and the crystal gems went to go confront her. The two sides briefly fought only for the cluster to break up the fighting. He sat them all down only for sapphire to confess she was just trying to get home, but her gem is cracked and she can't fly off. Rose quartz knowing the importance of home healed the small blue gem, and sent her on her way.

Top right - however this wouldn't be the last time they'd see a homeworld gem when a ship touched down on earth with sapphire, ruby, and an amethyst on board. The ruby took down, and poofed all the crystal gems. However when the gems broke free jasper, and lapis reformed into malachite to square off against the ruby.

Bottom right - This battle caused the ship to crash where ruby became frustrated beyond belief. Force fusing with sapphire the two of them turned into the monstrous Garnet. Ready to strike down the crystal gems with an ice spear ruby was caught off guard when sapphire began to freeze the rest of her body parts. Taking her captivator prisoner Sapphire froze the fusion and pulled it down into the ocean. Where ruby unfreezing the blocks with her fire, and sapphire constantly fixing the damage would war it out for control.

Bottom left - When sapphire returned to homeworld a scouting gem amethyst was sent to take a second look at earth, and check on the progress on an experiment taking place there. Though she would be the source of some on, and off conflict between the crystal gems she was eventually bubbled, and trapped in order to prevent any harm to the earth. Cluster setting her free befriended the small purple tech drone.
