Description Hold on just a little while longer...

For Equestria Dailys Newbie Artist Training Grounds IX, Day 1: "A Pony Standing / A Pony Holding the Line"

Ah, it's good to be back. Even though I have not as much time as I had years ago, the NATG again is the perfect opportunity to start drawing ponies again. I just have to speed up the postprocessing a little bit. It took me almost as long as the drawing...

This is drawn with my good old Faber Castell "Albrecht Dürer" watercolor pencils (wetted with a brush) and their "PITT artist pen" india ink pens. Still my go-to drawing supplies.

Edit: There seems to be a problem with the color profile, thus the picture looks so dull. I'll fix it tomorrow. It's almost 3 AM here.

To be fair, Pinkie never used a telephone before.

Yeah, telephones are not a thing in Equestria.

But to be fair, she just did what the voice told her to do.

It's good to have you back!

Out of interest, how are the PITT artist pens? Currently using uniball fine liners myself, though I'm always looking out for something that may be potentially better.

Likewise. Although, you were never gone in the first place... something I'm glad about.

Anyway, I like the PITT Artist pens. I can't compare them to other (india) ink pens as they were my first ones and I stuck to them. But at least I never felt the desire to find different ones. They have a good range of line widths and some interesting tips (e.g. the brush tip). So far I can just recommend them.

If you can recommend some pens or other supplies, let me know. I'm always happy to have more reasons to visit the art supply store again.

Interesting. I might have to give one a try and see how it compares...

Thank you. This limitation of having only a few hours for the idea and the actual drawing is always a nice challenge.

Of course
And yeah, I completely agree. It's incredible how much easier it is to find motivation when you have such a strict deadline XD At least, that's how it works for me :3
