As I look out the window
Night engulfs the world
But the moon shines as my nightlight
And I rest my elbows upon the window sill
And as I stare at the sky
I know she is watching it too
My lover sees the moon
For it is her light too
The stars are our hearts
Beating together with twinkling love
The sky is the black wings
Of love herself
And the earth is her child
Our child
The child of love and wonder
Forever shall I love my darling
And we shall forever share the night
In love forever
