WOOO ITS DONE - random doodle from june has slowly turned into the most detailed thing I've ever drawn :' )

((this would have been finished like three days ago but i couldn't stop playing minesweeper))

Also! I painted it significantly darker, but figured it would actually be incomprehensible for anyone with a dark screen, so edited it a bit in post. Here's the original: www.deviantart.com/acerbas/art…

OBLIGATORY LORE

Honestly more an atmospheric piece than anything else - Burn and Jouska separated MUCH earlier than standard for paired fragments - two nagogin are safer than one while they're still young, since, even if they're smart enough to secure a spot on the top of the food chain, nagogin are far from the largest predator in the Southern Jungles - leading them to both to turn to "easier" sources of prey - namely sarnids' livestock. This obviously didn't sit well with anyone, especially since adult nagogin will still prey on sarnids (and probably humans) if given the opportunity, so Nexus 3 was called in to deal with them. Jouska got tracker'ed and relocated back to the jungles around Blackwater Outpost (main story location on the human side of things, idr if I've mentioned it outside of that horrifying context flowchart I made a couple years ago) while Burn got away and wandered deeper into the fellenlands (this piece! www.deviantart.com/acerbas/art… ).

Anyway this is before all that back when they're just two scary ape-lizards chilling in the woods : )
