Description
My first love, indeed. This is the first sunset I remember...and the first I've ever captured. The sky was absolutely stunning that night; God must have been reliving the Renaissance. The colors and glow He provided were unlike anything I've ever seen.* Normally I'd apologize for the clutter and cropping. My excuse: 1) I knew NOTHING of photography back then and 2) the sunset, in my opinion, more than supplements the lack of composition.

sometimes you are lucky enough to catch glimpses of amazing things.
recently, two weeks ago i saw this amazing happening in the sky, it was northern lights, and it wasnt a colorful one, but it looked damn awesome, i didnt have my camera and it was gone real fast.

i am sorry to be a dissenting view, and I know you apologized for the messy composition, but I do not find this piece to be very stunning. the composition MORE than kills the image. if the tree on the right were not overbalancing the picture it would be much better. as well, things seem too blurry, the border adds nothing to the piece, and the white font, in my opinion, detracts from the subtle colors of the photo.
i appreciate how you captured a variety of cloud types with this capture and how the sky tones from blue to that golden orange/yellow.

why do people keep taking pictures of sunsets?! the sillhouettes of the phone lines and light poles against the sky are much more interesting. would've been better if you had focused on those.

Wow! That colour is amazing! The whole surrealness of the scene comes across so well. I actually think that if you had fussed over of the other things that make a photo. you would not have captured the atmosphere in the same way. If you had tryed to make the composition perfect, you would probably find that you're eye would fall to the silhoutte of the sky-line, and not the sky itself - which is where it needs to be.
