Believe it or not, I got behind the lens! It's been a while since I've shot, mostly I've been doing modeling or style work.This is the lovely Ms Poisoness who let me dress her all up in my famous VooDoo Baby skirt, which was a labour of love - it took forever to make that skirt. A large amount of hand work went into it.
Hopefully I didn't freeze the woman too bad as it was pretty chilly when we shot yesterday and the wind wasn't helping.

Actually, I'm not the model in this shot, I'm the photographer and I also did her wardrobe.

Yeah I know what you mean, but the sad truth is even though they pretended to be practicing chistianity to avoid suspicion, in the dark ages people were so afraid of their own shadow thanks to the church, that any woman who was too skilled at anything was viewed as a witch and burned. The inquisition must have been the worst time to be alive then durring any major war, with the possible acception of WWII if you were Jewish

I did quite a few research papers in college on witches and the Inquisition, horrible times. I couldn't even use the term "10 foot pole" as in "wouldn't touch so and so with a ten foot pole" as it was used as a torture device and witch "indicator". WWII had immense amounts of horrors as well, my great uncle was tortured and executed along with his wife for being suspected spies for the Allies, right in front of their kids.

Extremely awesome attire! *___* I totally love the shot too. The composition is solid and the overal muted color palette makes me immediately think of Fall. Incredible!

Do it! I'll be hanging all over your booth. I have not yet booked my Pitts booth. That will be soon on the horizon. That reminds me. I have a half completed pinup of Voodoo in my "to finish" pile. Do you have a deadline for that? I had to stop a number of projects that I was working on Early this fall to prepare for a string of 5 conventions that I did this fall practily in a row. I will be getting layed off this winter, so I will have time to pick up where I left off. I actualy have quite a few Acid Pop Tart 9X12s busts(opening up a new line) in the works. Ive got pencils to a Vampi, A Black Queen (with a wickid grin)Im going to be adding a Baroness as well. There will be inked versions, and color versions coming soon. I will be working on them at Pat Carluccis house this New Years weekend. I'll post them when they are done.
Anyways, gotta hit the drawing table. Have a blast celecrating whatever you enjoy celebrating, I'll see you soon.

Yes, yes, we're talking about having the Zombi Babe Army, a new addition to the VooDoo Baby world - so lots of sexy vodou babes around my booth, if anything, I will have the attention of all my male friends, yes? Tell Renee you need a table as close to me as possible, although I'm in a publisher's booth this time - tell her you need to be able to throw spit balls at me or something.
Squeeeeee! A VDB pin up? YAY!!!! Dude, for you I'd hold the project till you were done! But yeah, if I could get it by February, I think I'll be fine. A line of Acid PopTart's Busts?! That sounds so kinky - I like it!! Let me know so I can promote the bloody hell outta it for you! Black Queen? Vampi? Baroness? Well you know I'm just all sorts of jumping up and down over here in pure excitement!

The cincher is from Louise Black and the top is from Folks and I made the epic skirt that drags on the ground so much, you will have half of nature wrapped up in it!

Yeah, I'm not as "clean" and glamour refined as Laura Dark is, who has been my main photographer for a while. I'm not sure if I have a style yet, but I think I shoot more "dirty" for sure. I'm glad you like it!
