Description
He waits at the boundary of the world of the living and the dead to collect the echoes of life spent.Photoshop CS2
I'm not fully finished with this, but, other work is needing attention so I'm submitting this for now.

i kno u said ur not fully finished, so i hope it's okay if i point out a few things...
some people have mentioned his eyes...he's looking up, right? so it would make sense that his eyes aren't pointed exactly the same direction, but they're pointed a bit too far apart.
also, i think guys' eyebrows are a bit closer to their eyes. maybe it's his brown bones that are giving him that feminine look (girls have pretty brow bones, but guys don't XD)
and his lips look sooo perfect! but don't guys have skinnier lips?
i don't know what everyone is complaining about, but his legs are fine the way they are. and of course i can see ur not done with his toes XD (feet r haard, man! good job so far)
otherwise, i really really love this piece! it's my desktop background ^^

Gorgeous. The face almost looks androgynous (the eyes and lips). That is not meant as a criticism, however, so please don't take it as such. The style is rather mesmerising. I love the hair and the attention to detail (despite it being unfinished as you state). The hair on the legs and arms is an especially nice touch.
Good job! Can't wait to see the finished product.

...Was there any specific place you got the inspiration for this piece? It's quite amazing, but one thing unnerves me...
The fact that when I meditate, and indeed sometimes when I sleep, I often find myself in a grand forest somewhat like this one, near a waterfall surrounded by rocks (the water runs out through an underground cave system, like a plughole almost), and there is a young man there who resembles the one in this piece to an almost frightening extent.
I mean, the only difference that I can point out is that mine has one red and one yellow bead together on one dreadlock on the right side of his face (our right, his left).

That aside..
I love the fact that he obviously is male, yet you still manage to portray him as...soft with the girlish features and creamy skin.
And though I'm very with you on the hairy chest issue (Though I'm perfectly ok with a nice happy trail
And to top it all off I LOVE the background. The foliage is amazing.
The only issue I have with the picture is his foot, but that's already been said.
